Where Does the Road Lead To?

There are many twists and turns in this life. Many un-expectancies. It's like a traveler on a journey, walking down a long dirt road. Along the way, he sees a floral stand. He stops, smells the flowers and while he is there, he meets a young lady purchasing a bouquet. They talk, laugh, enjoys each others company and they decide that she should accompany him on his journey. They continue to walk together, sharing thoughts and ideas, occasionally holding hands, gazing into the others eyes. As they walk they see a merchants truck. The merchant asks them to step right over. They notice that the merchant has many items from all over the world. They ask him many questions about his life, as they can tell he's been quiet the traveler himself. As their time with the merchant ends, they hug him and depart. They continue to travel along that long dirt road. They pass many travelers along the way. Politely nodding or waiving, giving pleasant smiles. The young woman who joined the young male traveler decides to stop along a stream she sees from a distance. As she touches the cool, crisp water she makes the decision to establish roots along that stream. A perfect place for her to grow the flower garden of her dreams. Though they have spent many days together, many shared moments, the young male traveler realizes he must continue along the path in which he began.
He continues to travel, meeting many people with many stories to share. He builds life experiences of his own. Along his way he finds a piece of the earth to call his own. Establishes roots and  finds a companion to share it all with. Within him are many stories, many truths and much wisdom. The reason why he chose the piece of the earth that he did to call his own. The reason behind why he chose the companion that he did along his journey and the many other reasons as to  why he made the decisions he did along the way.
So, why did I write this little short story? To provoke thought really. Why a dirt road and not a paved one? Why a flower stand and not a fruit stand? Notice anything different between the young male traveler and the young woman at the floral stand? Why did the young woman decide to leave the young man after all their moments together?
Where does this life that we live end up? What story will be told from our lives? What symbolisms and meanings could those that will read or hear of us be able to gather? Will we be mentioned or thought of at all? Do we see our lives as a story waiting to be read or told? Or are we just "cruising" through? Taking it day by day with no real thought, plan or purpose.
LETS MAKE OUR LIFE COUNT! LET YOUR STORY BE ONE THAT WILL INSPIRE A NATION.

Dirt road= flexibility, pliable, life underneath one's feet.
Paved road= hard, concrete, another's chosen path for you.
Floral stand= the young woman purchased a bouquet. She had an interest in the flowers. The young man just smelled the flowers. He wanted to experience them where as she made an investment. That is why she stopped and established roots by the stream to grow her "dream flower garden". She always knew what she wanted. She had a plan. A vision. She stayed true to that. Where are you going? Hope you enjoyed. Please share your thoughts. xoxo.

  1. I really enjoyed reading this blog!! It made me really think about my own path and journey I have taken and what i want my children's children to know of me.."leaving a legacy" It's amazing to know that we all have our own journey and to know that each of our stories will be different but will inspire others along the way. What are your thoughts on excepting change while we go through our personal journey in life when things dont seem to go as we think it should? #Beautiful story#Mind is thinking#Thoughts racing#very touching# Keep using your gift!!! Look forward to hearing more from you...

    1. Thank you so much Monique for your comment. If I understand your question clearly, you want my thoughts on expecting change in this life when things don't go as we planned. I'll refer to the dirt road in my blog, it symbolized the ability to be pliable. Twists and turns will happen in this life. My gma use to say "just keep on living, you'll see" :-) it's how we approach the twists and turns that counts. We must be flexible, and make the wisest choices that we can, forgive ourselves when we don't and seek wisdom from our energy source.
